Classic Mat Pilates is a low-impact, full-body workout based on Joseph Pilates’ original method, performed on a mat without the use of equipment. It involves a specific, progressive sequence of controlled movements that focus on core strength, flexibility, and body awareness, following the principles of concentration, control, centering, flow, precision, and breathing.
