We are excited to announce that the women of the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (www.lprtour.com) are coming to Wayside Athletic Club next month! Not only will the women of the pro tour be playing but so will some of the best amateur players from around New England! And it’s all benefiting the Astrazeneca Hope Lodge in Boston!
About the Hope Lodge
Hope lodge helps provide housing for patients traveling to Boston for Cancer treatment that cannot afford housing on their own. Since opening in 2008, the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge Center in Boston has provided more than 145,000 free nights of lodging to 4,500 patients, for an estimated cumulative savings of more than $31,500,000, or approximately $7,050 per patient.
Return of the Parent/Child Division!
Have you been practicing with your son or daughter? Are you trying to get your son or daughter on the court for some quality time together? Maybe you are trying to get your Mom or Dad on the court to introduce them to this amazing sport of ours?! Do you want to play in a fun round robin with other Parent/Child teams? Check out the Parent/Child divisions being offered at no charge. Time will be allocated during the event for the first 8 teams to sign up for the exciting new division that will NOT count towards the two event max! This will be a fun pool play round robin division that will end in a playoff game between the top team in each pool.
Play for free?!
Would you like to play for free and have an opportunity to play with the pros in the sponsor doubles event? If you can raise $250 or more, you can do just that! Feel free to ask your friends, your family and your vendors (if you have them) and step on the court along side of a pro, playing against other pros and sponsors!
Return of the basket raffle!!
Tickets will be available for $5/ticket, $20/5 tickets to place in the bucket of your prize of choice! Want to donate a basket to the raffle? The basket with the most tickets (minimum of 20 tickets) will receive a refund of the first event fee!
