The management team and staff at Wayside Athletic Club have always been dedicated to the health and safety of our members and guests. When the Covid-19 began to show in Massachusetts the local and State government agencies forced the pause in operations for all nonessential businesses like Wayside Athletic Club. While we were closed for 94 days, the management team at Wayside Athletic Club went to work on increasing our cleaning and disinfecting protocols of the club.
Your health and safety continue to be our top priority. We continue to follow a strict cleaning and disinfecting protocol for operation and maintenance, as well as adding additional procedures. We wanted to share with you what our team is doing to keep you fit and feeling safe when you visit the club. To date, we have had almost 27,000 members visit the club and zero reported Covid cases in the club.
Deep Cleansing
- Continuously scheduled disinfection of high-touch surfaces throughout Wayside Athletic Club
- Club hours of operation have been adjusted to allow for overnight deep-cleaning
Enhanced Procedures
- Utilizing EPA-registered disinfectant that kills the coronavirus
- Staff training on cleaning protocols. As part of the coronavirus measures, they will pay extra attention to all contact surfaces
- All HVAC systems have been tested and cleaned
- We have upgraded and installed higher grade air filters (MERV-13)
- To increase the airflow and turnover, fans will run 24 hours a day bringing in outside fresh air throughout the building.
- We have purchased an electrostatic backpack machine for sanitizing and cleaning equipment, surfaces, and rooms.
- Touchless Disinfection or Sanitization of full rooms in under 5 minutes.
Self-Cleaning Stations
- Easy, readily available disinfectant spray or wipes for equipment
- Hand sanitization conveniently located throughout the club
