Dear members,
I hope this email finds you and your family safe and well. Since reopening the club in July we have had almost 16k members come through the door to enjoy Wayside Athletic Club. With our policies and procedures, cleaning, and disinfecting put in place we have had zero Covid cases reported. We continually push forward with our goal to keep our members and staff safe from Covid 19.
Today, Governor Baker announced additional requirements for health clubs like Wayside Athletic Club to remain open for business and to help combat the spread of Covid 19.  These new rules will require all that enter the club to wear a face-covering over their mouth and nose.
This order replaces prior regulations related to the wearing of face coverings within the club and means that masks need to be worn at all times, in all areas of our Club until this order is lifted. This includes (but is not limited to):
  • Fitness Center: This includes all fitness areas including strength and cardio equipment and stretching studio. Excluded are runners on treadmills per the Governor. Documented medical reasons are excluded
  • All Common Areas: This has been in place since reopening
  • Classes and Programs: The 14-foot distancing of participants will remain in place along with the mask requirement and pre-registration for classes/programs
  • Locker Rooms: This has been in place since reopening
  • Indoor Pool: Wear your mask when entering the aquatics center take it off and place it in a ziplock bag while swimming. Put it back on when leaving
  • Personal Training: Our personal trainers will also remain in a mask. This has been in place since reopening
  • Tennis Courts: All members and instructors playing doubles or coaching tennis lessons(except singles), clinics, must wear a mask at all times. Documented medical reasons are excluded
  • Racquetball Courts: Singles play only remains the rule and masks must be worn at all times while playing and viewing

Thank you to all of our members for their support and patience as we adjust to the required State safety protocols to keep Wayside Athletic Club open and available for you.

We look forward to getting back to some sort of normalcy.  Until then stay healthy, be safe, test negative, and stay positive!
Be well,
Brian Lynch
