To Our Valued Members, Staff and Guests,

Today is day four of the club being closed due to Covid-19 and it feels like a lifetime to us. We hope that you all are taking the necessary steps to remain safe and healthy. These are challenging times and based on news reports, things are changing every hour.

Our decision to close on Monday was not an easy one to make. The current situation that the nation is dealing with could not be ignored or taken lightly. We have received a lot of positive feedback regarding the quick and decisive actions we took weeks leading up to the closure to ensure the health and safety of our members, staff and guests. We appreciate all of the support we have received from you.

We have received many emails and messages through social media, and are doing our best to respond as quickly as we can. It seems that the main question that is being asked is regarding current dues charged for March and dues going forward. Since we have a captive audience we wanted to take this opportunity to answer them now.

  • When the ownership and management teams met on Monday, we had no reports of any use of the facility by someone who had tested positive for Covid-19 and we have not been notified by the State subsequently.
  • As we stated in our earlier communication, the decision to close the club Monday afternoon was based on the State of Massachusetts order to suspend all groups of more than 25 people in a building or space at any one time, and that people must remain 6 feet apart from each other while exercising. Since we could not guarantee your health and safety with keeping the club open, we made the difficult decision to close, and at that time, all memberships went on an immediate freeze. Members will not be billed for April dues.
  • When we get closer to a potential reopening date, we will send out details related to how we will handle the lost time in March, prepaid programs (adult and junior), and how the billing cycle will resume. Any in house charges made through March 16 will be charged to your permanent payment method on file.
