Dear members,

I hope this letter finds you and your family, healthy and well. It has been a long 14 months since the start of the pandemic. Over the past few months, we have received announcements with positive news regarding the rate of COVID cases dropping, increasing numbers of individuals receiving vaccinations in the state, and relaxing of rules put on the club and members. The most exciting news we have heard in a long time came on Monday, May 17th. Effective May 29th masks will be optional for fully vaccinated individuals inside the club.

All industries are encouraged to follow CDC guidance for cleaning and hygiene protocols. Your health and safety are and always will be our main priority. Even though the rules are relaxing a bit we will continue with many of the new health and safety protocols introduced when Wayside reopened in July. We encourage all members to review the current CDC guidelines to make the decisions that are best for them regarding face coverings while at the club.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE CHANGES YOU CAN EXPECT TO SEE IN THE COMING WEEKS:

Vaccinated

While we are not requiring members or staff to be vaccinated to enter the club, we are still abiding by the rules set in place. If you are fully vaccinated, masks are optional to wear indoors. Please let us know when your last shot was so we can mark your member profile as “mask optional indoors”. If you have not been vaccinated that is fine but masks will be required to be worn indoors.

Exercise Class Pre-Registration

We will still be requiring pre-registration for classes. We have found that this system works and members appreciate the fact that they have an appointment booked. Most importantly track and trace. While we have not yet had to implement track and trace if we ever do this will help to get important information out quickly.

Land exercise class size will remain the same at this time. We will be offering cycle classes outdoors. Water exercise classes will also remain the same size but we are hopeful to be able to increase the size of classes in a safe manner soon.

As more members join and return to the club we intend to add more classes. Don’t forget we still offer a referral incentive for when your friends join for the year!

Lap Lane Reservations

We will still require lap lane reservations for the indoor pool. Lanes are reserved in 30 or 55-minute increments 24-hours ahead of time. Eventually, we will be moving back to two people per lane.

The outdoor pool will offer two lanes for lap swimming. These are unreserved and may be used 30 mins at a time. Total of two swimmers per lap lane. Please understand lane 1 may be taken for deep end testing and you will be asked to relocate until the testing is completed.

New summer hours will be offered for indoor pool lap swimming starting June 21st as we shift to outdoor pool access.

Indoor Pool Hours Adjusted

Effective June 21, 2021

  • On June 21st we will move to our regular weekday hours 12-7:30 pm
  • All children under the age of 14 must take a deep end test each summer in order to swim in the deepened which includes the diving board and slide

We will be operating access to the outdoor pool on weekends the same as last year. The main club closes at 4 pm on weekends but we will have desk staff on until 5 pm. The last opportunity to gain access to the outdoor pool will be at 5 pm on weekends. The last opportunity to gain access to the outdoor pool on weekdays will be 6:30 pm.  We do this so our staff can properly break down the outdoor area, clean, and disinfect.

Guest Policy

Effective June 30, we are allowing guests again but on a limited basis. You will have to pre-register your guests through this link 24 hours in advance and be pre-approved before entering the club the following day. A confirmation email will be sent with your guest reservations. Guests must be accompanied by a member when entering the club. 20 guest passes per day are available for purchase. A guest fee of $20 per person regardless of age will be charged to your account on file. A guest list will be left with our front desk staff. If your guests are not on the list they will not be admitted.

Sauna, Steam Jacuzzi

We will be slowly bringing these amenities back online in the coming weeks as we work with the board of health for guidance. We appreciate your patience.

Cheers!
