About The Program
This program teaches teens and adults, ages 15 and older, the skills and knowledge to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare participants to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, to prevent injuries and drownings.
All participants must pass a pre-skills test prior to the first class, which includes the ability to:
Swim 300 yards
Swim 20 yards, pick up a 10-pound weight, and return to starting location in 100 seconds or less
Tread water for 2 minutes (no hands)
Once you have registered and paid no refunds will be given. No refund will be issued for failure to complete the online course, to pass the prerequisite skills tests, the final written exams, or the final water skills scenarios.
