It’s not only a new year, it’s a new decade, and Wayside Athletic Club has officially entered its 41st year in business! How crazy does that sound? We wouldn’t be here without the continued support from our staff, members and the entire community!

We welcome 2020 with new Group Exercise and Water Fitness schedules, along with some exciting updates!

Schedule updates:

Tuesdays: 9:30-10:25am Cardio TBC with Jeanine & 7-8pm BODYPUMP with Mari

Thursdays: 6-6:45pm Tabata Ride & 7-8pm Cardio Kickboxing with Robin

Fridays: 9-9:25am – Cardio TBC EXPRESS with Jeanine  & 9:30-10:25am CYCLE with Nia

Saturdays: 10am ZUMBA with NEW instructor Dani

You don’t want to miss a PowerLates Pop-UP Class on January 9 at 9am

On Thursday, January 9 at 9am Chris Trombetta is teaching a POWERLATES Pop-UP (in place of Tabata and Core)! A new way to get your HIIT on!  Build endurance all while sculpting a long lean body.  Focus on cardio, strengthening the core and increasing flexibility in this interval style class.

We are excited to introduce Renee Leitao, Wayside’s newest Water Fitness Instructor!

Renee began as a child playing soccer, doing gymnastics, and pretty much any sport that involves lots of movement. Becoming a personal trainer and fitness coach was a natural career choice for her. She is an ACE certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor and was certified as an Advanced Mature Fitness Training Specialist through the American Academy of Health and Fitness. Believing that people should be able to enjoy robust health and full range of motion throughout their lives, she recently became water fitness certified through the American Sports and Fitness Association (ASFA). She takes great joy in helping people achieve and maintain wellness.


Renee is a wonderful addition to the team, joining the new Thursday morning line-up at 8:10am Aqua Challenge and at 9:05am for Aqua Fit, starting on January 9th.

For more Renee, please come to our New Year’s Resolution – January Water Fitness Event, “Aqua Power Hour,” on Friday, January 10th at 5:30pm. Co-taught by Colleen and Renee (Wayside’s newest water fitness instructor), this power-packed, 1-hour water fitness class will be sure to challenge your cardio endurance and fire-up your muscle strength and core with greatly reduced impact on the body and joints!  All members and fitness levels welcome!
